Being the second largest island in the Mediterranean, the coastline varies enormously from north to south and east to west. However, wherever you are in Sardinia, there will be a stunning coastline with beautiful bays and beaches to discover, from the famous Costa Smeralda stretching for 55km in the north east, to the unspoilt south coast with many deserted beaches and Caribbean-like turquoise sea. The beaches in Lagos are some of the best in the Algarve and include the wonderful 4kms of golden sands along Meia Praia, Batata Beach just across the road from the town centre, Dona Ana Beach with it's spectacular rock formations nestling beneath the cliffs, the small, sheltered Camilo Beach on the way to Ponta de Piedade and the beautiful sandy bay of Porto de Mós Beach - the furthest beach from Lagos town centre. Red Beach is a suburb and beach on the Hibiscus Coast, Orewa, New Zealand. But the majority of traffic travels along the Northern motorway inland instead, and the motorway will be redesignated as State Highway 1 when an extension is complete in 2009. [Source]

Whitehaven Beach is a 7 km stretch along Whitsunday Island. The island is accessible by boat from the mainland tourist ports of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour, as well as Hamilton Island. The beach was awarded Queensland's Cleanest Beach in Keep Australia Beautiful's 2008 Clean Beach Challenge State Awards. The beach was named and discovered in 1879 by Staff Commander EP Bedwell. Republic of Fiji, is an island country in Melanesia in the South Pacific Ocean about 1,100 nautical miles (2,000 km; 1,300 mi) northeast of New Zealand's North Island. The majority of Fiji's islands were formed through volcanic activity starting around 150 million years ago. Today, some geothermal activity still occurs on the islands of Vanua Levu and Taveuni. Fiji is one of the most developed economies in the Pacific island realm due to an abundance of forest, mineral and fish resources. Apparently this cave is quite near Benagil Beach in Algarve, Portugal. A sea cave, also known as a littoral cave, is a type of cave formed primarily by the wave action of the sea. The primary process involved is erosion. Sea caves are found throughout the world, actively forming along present coastlines and as relict sea caves on former coastlines. [Source]

Lady Musgrave Island is a 14 hectares (35 acres) coral cay on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, with a 1,192 hectares (2,950 acres) surrounding reef. Lady Musgrave Island, and the immediate surrounds, is a national park and can be reached by excursion boat from the Town of 1770. It is also part of the Capricornia Cays Important Bird Area. Lady Musgrave Island is the most intensively used of the camping islands within the Capricorn Bunker group, due to its protected anchorage within a semi-enclosed lagoon and a regular ferry service. More than 10,000-day-visitors were brought to the island by commercial tourism operators during 1997. In addition, 1,278 campers visited the island for 8,008 camper nights and there were an estimated 5840 visitors from recreational boats during that year. [Wiki]

This two story beach house is located at Piha North, a northern New Zealand coastal settlement. The site with which we were presented was extremely challenging in that it was 90% covered in mature pohutukawa trees, the site being a part of a continuous belt of forest that edges the road along the beach front. The Spanish beach is located in the Ribadeo municipality, in the province of Lugo (Galicia), on the Cantabric coast. It has been declared a Natural Monument by the regional Ministry. During low tide you can appreciate the size of its magnificent cliffs and the picturesque sea caves, which go from small cracks on the rock to big caves whose roofs collapse due to the erosion of the waves. General Carrera Lake – A beautiful Lake shared by Chile and Argentina both. It has a surface of 1,850 km² of which 970 km² exists in the Chile and 880 km² in the Argentine. Carrera Lake is the biggest lake in Chile. On the Chilean side, there is beautiful emerald-green to turquoise-blue waters, and awesomely beautiful marble caves carved into passages and caverns. This is an impressive Hidden beach located on Marieta Islands,off the coast of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.If you need to swim in this beach.The only way to go is by swimming under a small cave, or climbing.
