Beautiful photo! The million-to-one black and white twins Kian and Remee turn seven One is black and has big brown eyes. The other is a blue-eyed blonde with the palest of skin. Remarkably, Kian and Remee are twins, born a minute apart. Each of their parents has a white mother and a black father. [Source]

You might not have heard of the ivory billed woodpecker, but it could well be the most endangered animal in the world. That is, if it is not already extinct. This bird exists (or perhaps existed) in the Southeastern part of America, but 10 years ago it was believed to have become extinct. However, there are still occasional reports of sightings in Florida and Arkansas. Sadly, no definitive proof has been found that a population still exists. [Source]

There are many species of big cat that are classified as endangered. The Amur leopard (Panthera Pardus Orientalis) will almost certainly be the first of these to become extinct. This subspecies can only be found in the snowy forests of Eastern Russia. When researchers last conducted a census of the population, only 20 animals were found. [Source]

The Martial Eagle is a large eagle found in open and semi-open habitats of sub-Saharan Africa. The adult's plumage consists of dark grey-brown coloration on the upperparts, head and upper chest, with slightly lighter edging to these feathers. The body underparts are white with blackish-brown spotting. The Martial Eagle can be found in most of sub-Saharan Africa, wherever food is abundant and the environment favourable. Like other holometabolous insects, the butterfly's life cycle consists of four parts: egg, larva, pupa and adult. Most species are diurnal. The fennec fox or fennec is a small nocturnal fox found in the Sahara of North Africa. Its most distinctive feature is its unusually large ears, which serve to dissipate heat. The fennec has a life span of up to 14 years in captivity. Its main predators are the African varieties of eagle owl. Families of fennecs dig out dens in sand for habitation and protection, which can be as large as 120 m2 (1,292 sq ft) and adjoin the dens of other families. Precise population figures are not known but are estimated from the frequency of sightings; these indicate that the animal is currently not threatened by extinction. [Wiki]

The Blue Jay is a passerine bird in the family Corvidae, native to North America. It is resident through most of eastern and central United States and southern Canada, although western populations may be migratory. The Blue Jay mainly feeds on nuts and seeds such as acorns, soft fruits, arthropods, and occasionally small vertebrates. It typically gleans food from trees, shrubs, and the ground, though it sometimes hawks insects from the air.
