An impressive lake in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland, an hour south of Dublin. Nearby there are many other sights in the mountain: various waterfalls, large boglands with sheep and streams, forests with wildlife, and historical places such as Glendalough, also other lakes. [Source]

The Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) is a mountain in the Mont Blanc massif in the French Alps. The name "Aiguille du Midi" translates literally as "Needle of the Noon" or "Needle of the Mid-day". In the brochure for its cable car the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc asserts it gets its name from the fact that it is to the south when viewed from in front of the church in Chamonix. [Wiki]

An example of the Southeast Alaska Land Trust’s continued work in the Green Zone is the Herbert River wetlands project. Through a collaboration with the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources and the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ), approximately 147-acres of high value habitat at the confluence of the Herbert and Eagle Rivers has been set aside. Añisclo Canyon is located in the Pyrenees of Huesca (South of Monte Perdido ), flowing southward. It has a length of about 10 kilometers (from the Circus Añisclo to the confluence with the river Aso). It is due to the erosive action of water on limestone, which for centuries has beautiful shapes carved into the rock. [Source]

An evergreen tree, Eucalyptus regnans is the tallest of the eucalypts, growing to 70–114.4 m (230–375 feet), with a straight, grey trunk, smooth-barked except for the rough basal 5–15 metres (16–49 ft). The leaves are falcate (sickle-shaped) to lanceolate, 9–14 centimetres (3.5–5.5 in) long and 1.5–2.5 centimetres (0.6–1.0 in) broad, with a long acuminate apex and smooth margin, green to grey-green with a reddish petiole. This is Yosemite's signature hike. Red seabeach, located in Dawa County, Panjin Liaoning, China. The Sueda species is one of the few species of grass that can live in highly alkaline soil. Its growth cycle starts in April when it is coloured light red, while the colour of the mature species is deep red. [Source]

The three-meter tall amethyst geode - a hollow rock filled with amethyst crystals - is the main attraction at the Crystal Caves at Atherton, southwest of Cairns. High in the Swiss alps, this is a mountain hut called Ebenalp. They say you should set your watch back ten years when you enter this region, known as Appenzell. Quaint and rustic, the old hut is built into a cliff at about 5,000 feet just below a mountain peak. Today, Ebenalp welcomes touring hikers. It offers cheap dorm beds and hot, hearty plates of Rösti — Switzerland’s addictive cheesy hashbrowns. I’t s run by an elderly couple and their five children and the guest book goes back to 1940. There is a great variety of things to see; The city center is sculped with traditional architecture and colors from the region. Beaches vary in shape and style from long sandy beaches to almost private ones hidden by cliffs. Ponta da Piedade is a beautiful spot with a nice lighthouse from where you can make boat tours to the natural caves. The harbour in the morning is full of activity, if you like to wake up early don't miss it. Also the fish market is an interesting spot. [Source]

A Cypress forest is a western USA plant association typically dominated by one or more cypress species. Example species comprising the canopy include Cupressus macrocarpa. In some cases these forests have been severely damaged by goats, cattle and other grazing animals. [Source]
