The Komodo dragon, also known as the Komodo monitor, is a large species of lizard found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang, and Padar. Their unusually large size has been attributed to island gigantism, since no other carnivorous animals fill the niche on the islands where they live. This is also found in Australia. It is called the Gwardar, but it is more commonly known as the Western Brown Snake. So far we can see that Australia is chock full of venomous snakes. 2 out of the worlds top 10 so far. [Source]

It probably will come as less of a surprise to see saltwater crocodiles in the top 10 most dangerous animals. The crocodile is the biggest of all living animals at up to 7 meters long, and has survived for millions of years by being deadly. This creature can swim incredibly fast and kill a large horse in under a minute. Stay away from the water. [Source]
A lot of people are phobic of snakes, but there is little to fear from them unless they are poisonous… like the Asian cobra. The Asian cobra is not actually the world’s most venomous snake, yet it counts for a large percentage of the 50 thousand fatalities that result from snake bites each year. [Source]
A poison dart frog looks pretty small and harmless. They are incredibly beautiful to look at, with the brightly colored markings. But appearances can be deceiving. One little frog can produce enough slimy neurotoxin to kill up to 10 humans. [Source]
