Trafalgar Square

Formerly known as Charing Cross, the square has been named after the Battle of Trafalgar (1805) in which Britain won over France in the Napoleonic War. It is a public space with several statues and sculptures, and is often used as a place for political demonstrations and community gatherings. [Source]
