Located in northeastern Fujian Province, Taimu Mountain stands on the Coast of the East Sea with only one face out of four facing inland. It enjoys equal fame to Yandang Mountain in the north and Mount Wuyi in the west. During the Tang (618-907) and Song (960-1279) dynasties, the Taimu Mountain temple complexes flourished. There were in total 36 temples among which Guoxing, Lingfeng, Ruiyun and Bajiao Temples were the largest in scale. [Source]
